PITCH RAISE?
WHAT IS A
THE PRE-ADJUSTMENT
With time, piano strings tend to lose tension through normal seasonal heat and humidity cycles.
If it's been close to a year or more in between tuning sessions, odds are that you'll need a pitch raise to get the instrument up to the proper pitch range prior to finely tuning each string.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Older pianos and those with less maintenance often come with more surprises. We work to find a balance with each customer to maximize the time spent during your session, and let you know of any future repairs or improvements you might be interested in.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Generally speaking, a tuning with a pitch raise goes on for 3-4 hours. We take the time needed to ensure a quality tuning with every instrument, while being as prompt as possible.
Instruments in need of a pitch raise or other maintenance need additional time, and are billed accordingly.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE ANYTHING?
To ensure a smooth experience, we ask that all items are removed from the piano at the time of your appointment.
We also ask that you provide our technicians quiet in order to work effectively and efficiently.
